Who I Am

That's a hard thing to ever really know . . . I learn and experience new things all the time that reshape me just a bit.

But, I guess the most straightforward description would be . . . I'm a twenty-something from a small, southern town, living in metro Atlanta with my fiance and three dogs. I'm getting married in October - it's going to be a blast! I work as a writer and artist. I love cheese and enjoy a good whiskey. I'm happiest outside. My amazing friends and family support me, make me laugh and keep me going - I try to do the same for them.

I derive endless joy from music (I met Dave, my fiance, at a music festival, and here we are sipping champagne on the roof of the nearly completed Georgia Theater in Athens, Georgia), camping and cooking. But as someone never accused of wasting away, I'm always struggling to strike a balance between my love for fun and food with my need for physical fitness. Oh, spin class . . . how I love and hate thee.

I try not to take myself too seriously (enjoying dress up with great friend and soon-to-be bridesmaid Emily Thomas at Amberland), and strive to always search for the silver lining.

This blog's going to help me do that . . . remember what's important, give thanks and focus on what makes my days meaningful.

I hope you can find a little joy here, too.
